Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. Who we are

Saadhan Charge is an app and platform for charging electric vehicles at participating stations in Nepal. It is operated by Aarambha IT ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Saadhan Charge app, the operator dashboard and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to drivers and to the staff of charge point operators (CPOs) who use the platform.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or for tracking you across other apps and websites. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

  • To provide the service: create your account, start and stop charges, bill them and keep your history.
  • To show the charge live in the app, in an ongoing notification on Android and on the iPhone lock screen.
  • To send notifications you've allowed, and messages about your account or the service.
  • To settle money between operators when a Super Card is used at their stations.
  • To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix problems.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping billing records.

4. Who we share it with

  • The charge point operator (CPO) where you charge sees your name, mobile number, card, sessions and payments for its stations, to run and bill the charge. A Super Card's use at an operator is shared with that operator for settlement.
  • Our SMS provider receives your mobile number to deliver the sign-up code.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Apple Push Notification service on iPhone, deliver notifications. They receive the device token and the notification's content.
  • Our hosting providers store and process data on our behalf, under contract.
  • OpenStreetMap serves the map tiles in the app. The tile server sees your device's IP address and which part of the map you view.
  • Your phone's maps app, if you tap Directions, opens with the station's location. That app's own privacy policy applies there.
  • Authorities, when Nepali law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and charging history while your account is open. When you delete your account, it is closed straight away: you can't sign in again, your cards stop working and your profile, vehicles and notification settings are removed. We keep a minimal record of your mobile number so that it can't be used to sign up again, and we keep charging and payment records for as long as Nepali tax and accounting law requires. Then they are deleted or anonymised.

6. Your choices and rights

  • See and correct your name, email and photo in the app at any time.
  • Notifications: turn each kind on or off in the app, or turn all of them off in your phone's settings.
  • Location and camera: allow or refuse them in your phone's settings. The app works without them; you can search for stations and type the charger code instead.
  • Delete your account from the app or by asking us. See how to delete your account.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, at the contact details below. We follow Nepal's Privacy Act, 2075 (2018).

7. Security

The app and dashboard talk to our servers only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your sign-in token is kept in your phone's secure storage (the Keychain on iPhone, the Keystore on Android). Passwords are stored only in encrypted form. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

8. Children

Saadhan Charge is meant for adults who drive or manage electric vehicles. It is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
